Nicole Curtis Ain’t Got Nothing On Me…

Hi Friends,

I love a good find, especially when it’s free. This weekend I was out running errands with D & D and we temporarily got lost while driving from one side of town to the other.  Sometimes getting lost turns out to be beneficial.

As we drove through the streets we started noticing all the fancy houses around us.

“Oh, I like that one.”

“Wow, did you see that one?”

“How adorbs is that porch?”

Then we saw it.  There it sat, on the curb, waiting for the garbage men to come and end its fate.  I pulled over and stopped the car so D & D could jump out to determine salvageability (yup, that’s a word…I googled it) and haul it into the back of the Jeep.

We found our way home with our new rescue.  Then we assessed the damage and discovered wobbly legs, nicks, scratches and paint spatters.  It was just begging for me to “make it pretty again!”

Look at those legs...I die!

Look at those legs…I die!

The wobbly legs needed a little tightening with a screw driver and they were good as new.  But…there are other repairs that will  require a bit more TLC…

Lots of dings and scratches.

Lots of dings and scratches…

And paint and surface damage.

…and paint spatters and surface damage.

But the best part is that the glass doors that are in perfect shape…

Did you notice the scalloped bottom?

And that scalloped bottom…swoon worthy.

Did you notice my cats in the photos?  They were very curious as to what I was doing at 5:00 this morning.  See what happens when I don’t sleep?  The wheels start cranking, then turning…and churning, unbeknownst to Superhouls, sleeping like a babe in his cradle.

I have ideas for this little cabinet, friends…LOTS of ideas!  Stay tuned for her makeover.  If you have ideas too, I’d love to have you share them in the comments below.

Oh, and…Nicole who?

Hey, if you enjoyed reading this, why not share it or follow me, or both!

Be well,

Eileen
